Roofing, exteriors, restoration & construction across Southwest Missouri

Greene County
ARCC handles roofing, siding, gutters, restoration and construction for property owners in Springfield, the largest city in Southwest Missouri and the center of our service area. Call (417) 300-9083 or request a free project/estimate inspection for potential roofing work.
Springfield is the largest market in Southwest Missouri and the base ARCC works from. It also has the widest range of roof types in the region: pre-war homes near the older central neighborhoods, decades of postwar ranch construction, dense newer subdivisions on the south and east edges, plus a large commercial and institutional inventory.
ARCC serves homeowners, landlords and commercial property owners across the city and Greene County. If you are in Springfield, we can inspect the building envelope, document what we find, and develop a repair or replacement scope.
The housing stock splits into distinct eras, and each one comes with its own roofing pattern. Older homes closer to the center of town often have steeper pitches, multiple additions built at different times, and roof planes that intersect in ways that put a lot of pressure on valley detailing. Postwar ranch homes are simple roofs but frequently have blocked or painted-over soffit vents and attics that were never properly ventilated. Newer subdivision homes on the outskirts tend to have builder-grade shingles and complex roof geometry with many hips, valleys and dormers, which means more flashing points than the roof area alone suggests.
The most common issues we find on Springfield roofs are failed pipe boots, wall flashing that was caulked instead of correctly stepped, and attic ventilation that has exhaust at the ridge with no usable intake at the soffit. Hail comes through the metro regularly enough that we inspect a lot of roofs with mixed-age damage, where some strikes are recent and some are years old. Separating those is a normal part of a Springfield storm inspection.
Single-family shingle roofing in Springfield means full tear-off replacements, decking repair where we find soft sheathing, new flashing and pipe boots rather than reused metal, and attic ventilation corrected while the roof is open. We install Owens Corning architectural shingles most often, along with other manufacturers when that fits the project better.
After a storm crosses Springfield, we offer a free project/estimate inspection for prospective roofing work, with photo documentation you keep whether or not you file a claim. A separate professional NRCIA inspection report is a paid engagement. Hail bruising may not be visible from the driveway; we also document observable conditions at gutters, vent caps and other soft metals.
For Springfield commercial property we handle low-slope membrane, metal and restoration coating systems, phased so the building can stay in use. Most commercial leaks start at curb and penetration flashing or at a drainage problem rather than in the field of the membrane, and testing comes before any tear-off recommendation.
Not every Springfield roof needs replacing. We trace leaks from the attic side where access allows, then take the path back to the exterior rather than replacing parts and hoping. Pipe boots, step flashing, chimney counter flashing and valley detail account for the majority of what we fix.
If storm damage in Springfield leads to a claim, we document by slope, meet your adjuster at the property, and submit supplements with photos when the original scope misses items. You file the claim with your own carrier. Coverage, deductible obligations and claim requirements are set by your policy and your carrier, so confirm those with your agent. We document damage and provide construction estimates; we do not determine coverage.
Seamless gutters are formed on site and sized to the roof area feeding them. Undersized gutters overshoot in the heavy rain Springfield gets in spring, and downspouts discharging at the foundation are one of the most common causes of wet crawl spaces we see in this area.
Springfield's commercial inventory keeps our low-slope and metal crews busy. We work on retail and office buildings, churches, warehouse space and multi-family property. Low-slope roofs here usually come to us with a drainage complaint rather than a membrane complaint, and the fix is often at the drains, scuppers and slope rather than the field of the roof.
Cold snaps in Springfield expose the same weak points every year: hose bibbs on exterior walls, supply lines run through unconditioned garages, and pipes in older central-city homes where the crawl space was never sealed. When a line lets go, the water finds drywall, insulation and subfloor long before anyone notices the pressure drop.
ARCC works the building side of a water loss: assessing damaged components, documenting them, and handling repair and reconstruction while coordinating appropriate trades and mitigation as needed. Licensed plumbing repair is a plumber's work, and we will say so when that call comes first. See water damage repair and reconstruction or frozen and burst pipe damage.
We start on the ground, looking at gutter lines, downspout discharge, siding, soffit and fascia. Then we get on the roof where it is safe, or fly it when the pitch or condition makes walking a bad idea. You get photographs by slope and a plain explanation of whether you are looking at a repair, a partial, or a full replacement. If the roof has years of life left, we will say so and tell you what to watch.
When a replacement is the right answer, the written scope names the materials, states the per-sheet price for decking replacement, and covers flashing, boots, ventilation and cleanup. That makes it possible to compare our bid against another one line by line instead of comparing two bottom-line numbers that may not include the same work.
In Springfield, a second opinion may be needed before a purchase, after conflicting roof assessments, or when a claim raises a technical question about damage. Jeff Maez offers separate paid independent roof inspection and reporting engagements with documented observations and photographs. A forensic roof inspection can be tailored to a specific issue such as workmanship, installation details or cause of loss. The report is not a replacement sales estimate, and no coverage outcome is promised.
ARCC is run by Jeff and Jessica Maez, a husband-and-wife team who built the company around taking fewer jobs and finishing them properly. We are BBB Accredited and listed as an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. We are based in Springfield rather than following storms in from out of state, which matters if you ever need us to come back.

They were straightforward about what our roof actually needed and did not try to sell us anything extra. The crew showed up when they said they would and cleaned up the yard before they left.
Great communication from the first walk-through to the final inspection. Everything was explained in plain language.
Honest people doing honest work. They handled the paperwork side of the claim without making it our problem.
